OUR STORY

Rumah Barkat is an orphanage built by Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Johor (PKAYJ) on October 30, 1979. PKAYJ is a non-government organization (NGO) agency.

The goal is to produce knowledgeable, ethical generation to achieve self-sufficiency to gain harmony, prosperity and well-being in the world and the hereafter.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Rumah Barkat always prioritizes these 3 needs which is education, nutrition, and health.

The organization puts a strong emphasis on education. The existence of knowledge in the youngsters is what makes the welfare of the orphans possible since then there will be a passion of learning.

Additionally, nutrition is prioritized as halal product and proper diet promote mental fitness and activity.

Health is also taken into account because with a healthy lifestyle, they can produce people with healthy body and mind. "A healthy mind rests on a healthy body".
